If your phone uses a SIM card to operate, you can activate a security feature called a SIM PIN. The SIM PIN protects your SIM card from unauthorized use, and must be entered in order to use your phone. Enter it incorrectly three times and your SIM card becomes locked. You can unlock your SIM card on your own, however. Sim Card Has Locked hi, I've seen others on here with this issue and the board mods seem to be able to provide some direct support so here it goes. I bought a vm iPhone se to replace on that got water damaged. The old sim went in the new phone fine, both my new phone and the original are deleted from their respective iClouds.
Never try to guess a SIM PIN or PUK code. The wrong guess can permanently lock your SIM card, and then you would need a new SIM card.
If your device asks for a PIN or code that you don't know, here's what to do:. Contact the carrier that gave you the SIM card. If you aren't sure which carrier to call, and check the card for the carrier's name or logo. Ask your carrier to help you unlock your SIM card using the default SIM PIN or PUK code. If you can't unlock your SIM card using the SIM PIN or PUK code or if an alert says, 'PUK exhausted,' ask for a new SIM card.If you enter the wrong SIM PIN too many times, your wireless carrier might be able to give you a Personal Unlocking Key (PUK).
